RECSYSTEM® marine fabrics are the natural evolution of Ultrasol (Recacril®) fabrics, designed for superior waterproofing, giving water columns of over 1000 mm. In addition to the Infinity process, these fabrics are coated on one side with high-tech resins. This coating gives the fabric optimum resistance to water penetration.

RECSYSTEM® marine fabrics are exceptionally resistant to the wrinkling that inevitably occurs during the manufacturing process, thanks to a special coating formulation and a sophisticated application process. What’s more, unlike other products on the market, the coated side of RECSYSTEM® marine fabric does not shimmer or have a whitish appearance.

RECSYSTEM® Marine fabrics undergo rigorous quality control throughout the manufacturing process, meeting all the requirements for UNE-EN 13561:2004+A1:2009 approval (Performance requirements, including awning safety).

Antimicrobial treatment

Micro-organisms responsible for decay, such as mold, algae and bacteria, can damage acrylic-coated fabrics.

To prevent these microorganisms and ensure the quality of our fabrics, RECSYSTEM® marine fabrics are treated with antimicrobial products for optimum protection.

Antimicrobial products prevent microorganisms from adhering to the fabric, however, these microorganisms can grow on dirt and other foreign substances if they are not removed from the fabric. To maximize the life of RECSYSTEM® Marine fabrics, periodic cleaning is essential, as described in the Maintenance section.

Description

Recsystem is a fabric made by Recasens mainly for the marine industry, but with great potential in awning applications as well, where a higher degree of water tightness is required or advantageous.  While this fabric is again made of 100% solutions dyed acrylic, with all the benefits of our Ultrasol/Recacril fabric, it includes an additional, nearly invisible, acrylic undercoating which makes it almost completely waterproof, while maintaining breathability and a light weight of just over 9.5 oz / sq yd.
