Made from solution-dyed acrylic fiber, the fabrics resist fading and mildew, and offer superior dimensional stability.
Ce procédé consiste à ajouter les pigments de couleurs lorsque la solution acrylique ce trouve sous la forme liquide. Par la suite, la fibre est extraite et servira à la fabrication du fil en vue du tissage de la toile. Cette méthode permet d’avoir une coloration totale et uniforme. On obtient des couleurs éclatantes ainsi qu’une haute résistance à la décoloration et à la moisissure.
Contrairement à la méthode de teinture conventionnelle qui consiste à immerger le tissu dans une solution qui résulte à une couverture partielle. Ce procédé requiert de grande quantité d’eau et laisse beaucoup de résidu polluant pour l’environnement, contrairement au procédé teint dans la masse où la totalité de la solution est utilisée pour la fabrication de la fibre et ce sans résidu qui se retrouve dans l’environnement.
